    Tata Capital IPO expected soon

    Over the past few months, Tata Group’s holding company Tata Sons has been all over the news over its listing by September 2025

    Tata Capital IPO soonAfter Tata Technologies, another Tata Group company is eyeing a listing on the bourses but its not Tata Sons. The group is learnt to have already started preparations for an IPO of Tata Capital. Tatas are looking to list Tata Capital shares by the end of 2024, sources told ET NOW.

    First from the group in nearly 20 years, Tata Technologies became the best listing of 2023 as its shares listed at a premium of a whopping 140 per cent at Rs 1200 apiece on BSE. The highly-anticipated public issue was launched in November 2023 at a price band of Rs 475 to Rs 500 per shares.

    Now, the financial services unit of the salt-to-aviation conglomerate could be the latest offering by Tatas.

    Tata Sons owns about 95 per cent equity in the financial services company. As per the RBI rules, both Tata Sons and Tata Capital are upper layer NBFCs, which make their listing on the bourses compulsory. Tata Sons is considering transfer of some of its non-core assets to Tata Capital and now Tata Capital will enter the market.
